They envied Moses also in the camp, {and} Aaron the saint of the LORD.
And they will tell {it} to the inhabitants of this land: {for} they have heard that thou LORD {art} among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and {that} thy cloud standeth over them, and {that} thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These {are} the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be {that} the man whom the LORD doth choose, he {shall be} holy: {ye take} too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers {did}, so {do} ye.
And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.
To what purpose {is} the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. {he goats: Heb. great he goats}
For which cause {both} thou and all thy company {are} gathered together against the LORD: and what {is} Aaron, that ye murmur against him?
To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust {him} from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither {is that} circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.
For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of {those} lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. {Ethiopian: or, Cushite} {married: Heb. taken}
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain. {because...: Heb. in my holy}
And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and {with} our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise {them}, because they are brethren; but rather do {them} service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. {faithful: or, believing}
Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.
