Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
{I said}, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay {is} in the potter's hand, so {are} ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just? {govern: Heb. bind?}
Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct {him}? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

{He is} wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened {himself} against him, and hath prospered?
For {there is} not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
And all the inhabitants of the earth {are} reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and {among} the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
For {he is} not a man, as I {am, that} I should answer him, {and} we should come together in judgment.

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
Where the word of a king {is, there is} power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
