By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. {moved...: or, being wary}
And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, {it is} evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name {was} Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver {but} their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.
And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
These {are} the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
For {there is} not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. {are: or, be ye}
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that {there is} none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? {considered: Heb. set thy heart on}
And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, {were} in it, {as} I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall {but} deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
Behold, his soul {which} is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
But the path of the just {is} as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name {was} Simeon; and the same man {was} just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.
Mark the perfect {man}, and behold the upright: for the end of {that} man {is} peace.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
I am {as} one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright {man is} laughed to scorn.

And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob {was} a plain man, dwelling in tents.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go {and} sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come {and} follow me.
And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just {man}, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
