Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and {there was} none to bury {them}.

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; {but} they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.
And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from {one} end of the earth even unto the {other} end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth {wood} upon the earth.
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Wherefore should the heathen say, Where {is} their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight {by} the revenging of the blood of thy servants {which is} shed. {revenging: Heb. vengeance}
That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. {kinds: Heb. families}
For we must needs die, and {are} as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect {any} person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him. {neither...: or, because God hath not taken away his life, he hath also devised means, etc}
