[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.] O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known {me}.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things {are} naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter. {toward...: Heb. with thee}
The heart {is} deceitful above all {things}, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited {me} in the night; thou hast tried me, {and} shalt find nothing; I am purposed {that} my mouth shall not transgress.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
The LORD {is} in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne {is} in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, {even} thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, {son} of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet {are} like fine brass;
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

I the LORD search the heart, {I} try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, {and} according to the fruit of his doings.

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife {to be} thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that {is} in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. {None: Heb. No}
For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

How are {the things} of Esau searched out! {how} are his hidden things sought up!
Thick clouds {are} a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
What can David {speak} more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time {that} thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.
And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, {or} the third {day}, and, behold, {if there be} good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee; {sounded: Heb. searched} {shew...: Heb. uncover thine ear}
