Therefore thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for every thing of the altar, and within the vail; and ye shall serve: I have given your priest's office {unto you} as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
{To be} a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which {is} not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I {am} thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who {are} his, and {who is} holy; and will cause {him} to come near unto him: even {him} whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you.
But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, {even} before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, {shall be} Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel {to be} my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy {place} within the vail before the mercy seat, which {is} upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons. {put: Heb. bind} {consecrate: Heb. fill the hand of}
And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as {was} Aaron.
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring {it} within the vail:
And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, {even} Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, {It appertaineth} not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither {shall it be} for thine honour from the LORD God.
And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as {was} Aaron.
Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I {am} a dry tree.
They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.
And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.
And they killed the passover, and the priests sprinkled {the blood} from their hands, and the Levites flayed {them}.
These sought their register {among} those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood. {were they...: Heb. they were polluted from the priesthood}
O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he {is} their help and their shield.
Then said he unto me, The north chambers {and} the south chambers, which {are} before the separate place, they {be} holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place {is} holy.
And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves. {my charge: or, my ward, or, ordinance}
And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,
And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
And inasmuch as not without an oath {he was made priest}:
And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate {and} to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat {thereof}, because they {are} holy.
This {is the portion} of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day {when} he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest's office;
And he hath brought thee near {to him}, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod {shall be} for the head of the house of their fathers.
And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle: only they shall not come nigh the vessels of the sanctuary and the altar, that neither they, nor ye also, die.
Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come nigh the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they bear sin, and die. {and die: Heb. to die}
