I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Say unto them, {As} I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: {and} not that he should return from his ways, and live?
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn {yourselves}, and live ye. {yourselves: or, others}
When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, {the same} loveth little.
And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he {was} God.
And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. {the unrighteous...: Heb. the man of iniquity} {abundantly...: Heb. multiply to pardon}
The sacrifices of God {are} a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
And when he cometh home, he calleth together {his} friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

Therefore rejoice, {ye} heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap {their} hands.
This {is} a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become {the kingdoms} of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and {then} to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
And they glorified God in me.
For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save {thy} husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save {thy} wife? {how: Gr. what}
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let {men} say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.

Whether of them twain did the will of {his} father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. {after...: or, according to God}
And had a wall great and high, {and} had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are {the names} of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
