Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. {thy graven...: Heb. the graven images of thy silver} {cast: Heb. scatter}

And when he had restored the eleven hundred {shekels} of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee.
For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you {for} a sin. {his idols of gold: Heb. the idols of his gold}
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, {that} I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, {and} hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.

And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which {are} in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring {them} unto me.
Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that {were} not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
Ephraim {shall say}, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard {him}, and observed him: I {am} like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.
For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. {And} hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,
By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this {is} all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. {images: or, sun images}
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which {were} in their hand, and {all their} earrings which {were} in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which {was} by Shechem.

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold {that is} on them, nor take {it} unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it {is} an abomination to the LORD thy God.
Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height {was} threescore cubits, {and} the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all {men}: and they counted the price of them, and found {it} fifty thousand {pieces} of silver.
And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, {and} ground {it} very small, {even} until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast {them} from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in woollen or in linen, or any thing of skin, wherein the plague is: for it {is} a fretting leprosy; it shall be burnt in the fire.
For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.
And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
