The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath {is} upon all the multitude thereof.
And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. {are here: Heb. are found} {iniquity: or, punishment}
For {it is} a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.
Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.
Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.
The great day of the LORD {is} near, {it is} near, and hasteth greatly, {even} the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in {their} pleasant palaces: and her time {is} near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged. {the wild...: Heb. Iim} {desolate...: or, palaces}
And behold at eveningtide trouble; {and} before the morning he {is} not. This {is} the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what {is} his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, {is} his name. {wind: or, spirit}
Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. {was deceived: or, was enticed}
For the time {is come} that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if {it} first {begin} at us, what shall the end {be} of them that obey not the gospel of God?
For the day {is} near, even the day of the LORD {is} near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
