Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, {that} call not thou common.
Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These {are} a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. {nose: or, anger}
And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. {the hall...: or, Pilate's house}
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as {he did} unto us;
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men {are}, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.
And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
Then Peter opened {his} mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before {them} all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition {between us};
And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault. {defiled: or, common}
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean {thing}; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that {there is} nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him {it is} unclean. {unclean: Gr. common}

Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. {creepeth: or, moveth}
And the flesh that toucheth any unclean {thing} shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.

In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. {bells: or, bridles}
