And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, {that is} better than thou.

Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised {is} wisdom.

All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
