In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, {even} in Jerusalem.
And {they of} Ephraim shall be like a mighty {man}, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see {it}, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
And they shall be as mighty {men}, which tread down {their enemies} in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD {is} with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded. {the riders...: or, they shall make the riders on horses ashamed}
In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David {shall be} as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. {feeble: or, abject: Heb. fallen}
And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.
Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, {and} like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put {it} upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
And he shall put {some} of the blood upon the horns of the altar which {is} before the LORD, that {is} in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which {is at} the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
And he {was} clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. {bells: or, bridles}
I am come into my garden, my sister, {my} spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. {yea...: or, and be drunken with loves}
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Judah and Israel {were} many, as the sand which {is} by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
And the priest shall wave them {for} a wave offering before the LORD: this {is} holy for the priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.
Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.

They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
