For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? {of the: or, of that}
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it {was} the word of the LORD. {so...: or, the poor of the flock, etc. certainly knew}
And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,
But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed {be ye} poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: {and} he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished. {unpunished: Heb. held innocent}
I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and {that} they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done {it} unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done {it} unto me.
He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy {is} he.

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy {our} brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:
Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
For {I mean} not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:
{A} devout {man}, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: {men} shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
Likewise {greet} the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
