[David's {Psalm} of praise.] I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

I will also praise thee with the psaltery, {even} thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel. {the psaltery: Heb. the instrument of psaltery}

I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. {to all...: Heb. to generation and generation}

While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

To the end that {my} glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever. {my glory: that is, my tongue, or, my soul}

And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever {he be} of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;

Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
