He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer {shall be} abomination.

The sacrifice of the wicked {is} abomination: how much more, {when} he bringeth it with a wicked mind? {with...: Heb. in wickedness?}

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed {is} every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

The sacrifice of the wicked {is} an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright {is} his delight.

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. {guilty...: or, subject to the judgment of God}

He that killeth an ox {is as if} he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, {as if} he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, {as if he offered} swine's blood; he that burneth incense, {as if} he blessed an idol. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in {yourselves}, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay {it} to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay {it} to heart.

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
