For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. {offering up: or, sacrificing}
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of {our} lips giving thanks to his name. {giving...: Gr. confessing to}
And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. {for you: Gr. for your souls}
According to my earnest expectation and {my} hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but {that} with all boldness, as always, {so} now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether {it be} by life, or by death.
Great {is} my boldness of speech toward you, great {is} my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, {which is} your reasonable service.
Hereby perceive we the love {of God}, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down {our} lives for the brethren.
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. {are: or, be ye}
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things {which were sent} from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. {I have all: or, I have received all}
So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

And the fourth {part} of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb.
And he slew {it}; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put {it} upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
And they shall bring all your brethren {for} an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD. {litters: or, coaches}
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I {am} more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
Therefore will I divide him {a portion} with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Give unto the LORD the glory {due unto} his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. {due...: Heb. of his name}
Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed {is} not grievous, but for you {it is} safe.
And when these days are expired, it shall be, {that} upon the eighth day, and {so} forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD. {peace...: or, thank offerings}
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
