Neh 11:1
And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts {to dwell} in {other} cities.

Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
All the Levites in the holy city {were} two hundred fourscore and four.
And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring {it} into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as {it is} written in the law:
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof {is} of the LORD.
But now this {shall be} the thing which we will do to Gibeah; {we will go up} by lot against it;
If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, {being} matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;

And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.
And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

These chief fathers of the Levites {were} chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.
Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the night they may be a guard to us, and labour on the day.
