And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest:
Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
But he denied before {them} all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
