Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.

Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.
And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid {her} in an upper chamber.
Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
And it came to pass after these things, that {one} told Joseph, Behold, thy father {is} sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
