And it was so, when the days of {their} feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings {according} to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. While he {was} yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters {were} eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither {is there} any to deliver {them}.

For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.

His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

But the men of Sodom {were} wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: {and} they walked in their own counsels. {unto...: or, to the hardness of their hearts, or, imagination}

And {there is} none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. {consumed: Heb. melted} {because: Heb. by the hand}

These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed {that} ye make yourselves strange to me. {make...: or, harden yourselves against me}

He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

While he {was} yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters {were} eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:
