Thou hast multiplied the nation, {and} not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, {and} as {men} rejoice when they divide the spoil. {not: or, to him}

But be ye glad and rejoice for ever {in that} which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed {it} far {unto} all the ends of the earth.
Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see {him} not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
For your shame {ye shall have} double; and {for} confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel.
And when he had brought him down, behold, {they were} spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this {is} our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this {is} the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

As they were increased, so they sinned against me: {therefore} will I change their glory into shame.
Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess {it}.
Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen. {the shouting...: or, the alarm is fallen upon, etc}
Sing, O barren, thou {that} didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou {that} didst not travail with child: for more {are} the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, {even} I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing {praise} to the LORD God of Israel.
The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place {is} too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, {and} the excellency of our God.
And there was great joy in that city.

And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses: none shall tread with shouting; {their} shouting {shall be} no shouting.
