For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it {is} a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry {land};
Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken {it} in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.

And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, {and} so great.
The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. {prevail: or, behave himself mightily}
Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD {will be} the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. {hope: Heb. place of repair, or, harbour}
And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of {his} anger, and {with} the flame of a devouring fire, {with} scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. {his glorious...: Heb. the glory of his voice}
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all {their} heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I {am} the LORD. {carelessly: or, confidently}
