And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. {to burn: Heb. to ascend up}
Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred {shekels}, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, {even} two hundred and fifty {shekels}, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty {shekels},
And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it. {shall light: or, shall cause to ascend} {it: Heb. the face of it}
And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest {pertaineth} the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, {and} the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein {is}, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; {these} sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like {weight}:
And he made the staves {of} shittim wood, and overlaid them with brass.
And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the tabernacle door, {the sweet...: Heb. the incense of sweet spices}
And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
