And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children {shall find} compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God {is} gracious and merciful, and will not turn away {his} face from you, if ye return unto him.
To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy {endureth} for ever:
For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and {him} that hath no helper.
If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
But thou, O Lord, {art} a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard {him}, and saved him out of all his troubles.
And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he {is}.
Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly {to them}.
