For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate {to be} conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, {even} to them that believe on his name: {power: or, the right, or, privilege}
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
And not only {they}, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, {to wit}, the redemption of our body.
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, {that} in the place where it was said unto them, Ye {are} not my people, {there} it shall be said unto them, {Ye are} the sons of the living God. {in...: or, instead of that}
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. {all things: or, these things}
But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me. {from me: Heb. from after me} {a goodly...: Heb. an heritage of glory, or, beauty} {pleasant...: Heb. land of desire}
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
(For {the children} being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of {this} calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of {his} goodness, and the work of faith with power: {count: or, vouchsafe}
For it became him, for whom {are} all things, and by whom {are} all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and {to} my God, and your God.
And all the inhabitants of the earth {are} reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and {among} the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas {is} here.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of {his} good pleasure.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.

And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, {are} mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
