As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son {in whom} he delighteth.
Behold, happy {is} the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, {or} the likeness of any {thing}, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: {but} Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.
