Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, {with} all the men of Israel,
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
And this I say, {that} the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous {men} have desired to see {those things} which ye see, and have not seen {them}; and to hear {those things} which ye hear, and have not heard {them}.
But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word {which} he commanded to a thousand generations.
And they shall be my people, and I will be their God:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day {that} I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: {although...: or, should I have continued an husband unto them?}
But with {him} that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with {him} that {is} not here with us this day:
And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which {voice} they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
But your eyes have seen all the great acts of the LORD which he did.
The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their {appointed} time every year; {fail: Heb. pass}
