When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt {yourselves}, and make a graven image, {or} the likeness of any {thing}, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:

Lest ye corrupt {yourselves}, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
They have deeply corrupted {themselves}, as in the days of Gibeah: {therefore} he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
And he did {that which was} evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt {yourselves}, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.

Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared {it}? ye {are} even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, {there is} no God; I know not {any}. {God; I: Heb. rock, etc}
Also every sickness, and every plague, which {is} not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. {bring: Heb. cause to ascend}
And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these {things} unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land {that is} not yours.
I have made the earth, the man and the beast that {are} upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
