And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
So now {it was} not you {that} sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou {art} even as Pharaoh.
The king's heart {is} in the hand of the LORD, {as} the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, {tarry: for} I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake.

Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors {is} hard.

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, {that} she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that {was} in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.
And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.
