But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back {part} of the price of the land? {to lie to: or, to deceive}

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband {are} at the door, and shall carry thee out.
And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's {son}, to betray him;
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for {he hath} no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud? {How: or, What}
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
And kept back {part} of the price, his wife also being privy {to it}, and brought a certain part, and laid {it} at the apostles' feet.
When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard {it}.
If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth. {break: Heb. profane}
And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What {is} this {that} thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints. {saints: or, most holy}
And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth {it} not, then cometh the wicked {one}, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
{It is} a snare to the man {who} devoureth {that which is} holy, and after vows to make enquiry.
Neither give place to the devil.
Ye are of {your} father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. {of his own: or, from his own will or disposition}
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue {is} but for a moment.
But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's {son}, to betray him;
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted {with} all my ways. {compassest: or, winnowest}
And he said, All {is} well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another {divers} kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, {that} at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: {think...: or, conceive a mischievous purpose}
Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.

Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,
Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so? {that...: Heb. whose heart hath filled him}
And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD that the swarms {of flies} may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.

In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
And of whom hast thou been afraid or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid {it} to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not?
And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade {him}, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. {blood: Heb. bloods}
