Act 18:25
This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Who {is} wise, and he shall understand these {things}? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD {are} right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. {of this way: Gr. of the way}
But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene, {tetrarch: or, governor of four provinces}
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, {thou} child of the devil, {thou} enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
That through them I may prove Israel, whether they will keep the way of the LORD to walk therein, as their fathers did keep {it}, or not.
The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: {in: Heb. from}
And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
And all the people that heard {him}, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where {is} the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk {therein}.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of {this} life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Confess {your} faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Good and upright {is} the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
All scripture {is} given by inspiration of God, and {is} profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, {thou} child of the devil, {thou} enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto {them}, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. {of this way: Gr. of the way}
They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again. {manner: Heb. way}
For he mightily convinced the Jews, {and that} publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. {Christ: or, is the Christ}
