My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
To Timothy, {my} dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, {and} peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise {child} shall have joy of him.

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, {being} of one accord, of one mind.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn {you}.
Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto {my} children,) be ye also enlarged.
Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
He that begetteth a fool {doeth it} to his sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy.
