And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed {it}: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria {but} thrice.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed {them} all.
When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day {that} the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. {sendeth: Heb. giveth}
And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave {thereof}.
And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken {meat} that was left seven baskets full.
Now therefore, my lord, {as} the LORD liveth, and {as} thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to {shed} blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal. {avenging...: Heb. saving thyself}
And he said, Take the arrows. And he took {them}. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.
