Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth {it} to heart: and merciful men {are} taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil {to come}. {merciful...: Heb. men of kindness, or, godliness} {from...: or, from that which is evil}
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, {even} the Son of man which is in heaven.

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
For we that are in {this} tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, {mantle: or, robe}
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Then said I, Wisdom {is} better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom {is} despised, and his words are not heard.

And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, {if} the prophet had bid thee {do some} great thing, wouldest thou not have done {it}? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
And call no {man} your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!
And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite {them}? shall I smite {them}?
And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: {nevertheless}, if thou see me {when I am} taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be {so}. {Thou hast...: Heb. Thou hast done hard in asking}
And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice.
