Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, {are} they not written in the book of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer concerning genealogies? And {there were} wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually. {book: Heb. words}
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and {to} the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
And this {is} the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded. {so had David...: Heb. so was the commandment of David the man of God}
And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?
Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and {to} the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
