Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
And above all these things {put on} charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth {very} friends. {seeketh: or, procureth}
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, {see that ye} love one another with a pure heart fervently:
Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become {as} sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all {men}, even as we {do} toward you:
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
Let brotherly love continue.
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and {of} a good conscience, and {of} faith unfeigned:
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
