And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, {near} to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her. {be delivered: or, cry out} {came: Heb. were turned}
After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became {one} of the priests of the high places. {made...: Heb. returned and made} {consecrated...: Heb. filled his hand}
Arise thou therefore, get thee to thine own house: {and} when thy feet enter into the city, the child shall die.

And Abijam slept with his fathers; and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
